The T20 World Cup will begin with a bang as India and Pakistan face off on October 23.
The hype surrounding the Pakistan vs India match was unprecedented, and they did not disappoint in their opening fixture of competition at the T20 World Cup. With star batters Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan leading from afar for PAK respectively; it was all about oneplayer who helped them come back strong - Mohammad Nawaz! The leg-slide bowler spoke candidly regarding how he has been preparing with excitement ahead on Saturday's clash against India.
Nawaz said that he likes to perform well against India because it helps ease the pressure when facing other opponents.
"It's always a pressure match against India. When you perform in front of the world’s number one team, it becomes easier to deal with any other opponents," said Nawaz during his post-match press conference after playing cameos since then and focusing on batting as well as bowling while working alongside Mohammad Yousuf (who he called 'one Amazing guy') for advice about how best suit him "team expects" three dimensional player who can bowl good slower balls or top infused deliveries so they don't get too big wideness outside leg stump area.
Nawaz's performance against India was nothing short of spectacular. He scored 42 off just 20 balls and helped his team win by 5 wickets with an unbeaten 38 in 22 deliveries that included 3 fours and 6 sixes.
The Pakistan star has been incredible so far during this Asia Cup tournament - before facing opponents such as Australia ( whom they lost to ), Bangladesh , Sri Lanka etc., he hit two tons plus another double hundred at home against preliminary round foes Hong Kong . And now we'll finally get our chance to see him play alongside Mohammad Amir again
